Could you put your recipes in a playlist? New recipes and or updates on old favorites? The pepper and eggs looks good too!
Hello @jl435! Thanks for watching and commenting! We don’t actually remember where we got the recipe for the fish n’ chips and the pepper and egg sandwich is essentially scramble 2 eggs and cut up a pepper and put on a sandwich. God Bless!
The last order can still be elected to the papacy because ANY pope isn't allowed to canvas to be elected ...it's basically conferred after the voting of the conclave
The Sisters of Life take a fourth vow to honor the dignity of every human life, or something along those lines.
4th Vow of Jesuits obedience to the Pope in all matters.
Obedience to the Pope and the worldwide mission.
to understand ones enemy usually ends in loving ones enemy

2 suggestions - 'toughies' maybe, as words, but Biblical and hopefully appropriate: - Glossolalia (Speaking in tongues) Acts, First Corinthians - Shibboleth: A custom or tradition, usually a choice of phrasing or a word, that distinguishes one group of people from another - like a password. Old Testament: Book of Judges
Language Learning App name proposals: • Papabile: Learn languages like the Pope! • Day of Pentecost 🕊 • Reverse Babel • Nuns With Rulers 📏
St Joseph of Cupertino, before he was known as "The Flying Friar", as a lad was called "The Gaper" (“Boccaperta”) because he aimlessly wandered around the village open-mouthed (in ecstasy). Reminds me of Forrest Gump.
''The Reluctant Saint'': 1962 American-Italian historical comedy-drama movie tells the story of S. Joseph of Cupertino, with Maximilian Schell in the title role.
👍👍👍👍👍
"THE HEART IS ONE BUT IT BEATS AS MANY SO NOT TO BE ALONE." (SACRED HEART) ✝🕊❤
As somone who was raised a Catholic and, as someone who has a rational intelligent mind, I found the cognitive dissonance unbearable. I genuinely think teaching religious dogma to children should be considered child abuse, not least when the child has an active disinterest in religion (at 3 years old coming into church late apparently I said to my mum "if this is god's house, why is he never here". I also suffered from depression and confusion at the supposedly everlasting concept of heaven however when I learned infinity in mathematics suddenly it all made sense! Catholicism (UK catholicism at any rate) is one of the least bad theocentric religions out there but it still has a huge amount to ask for with the societal damage it has helped create. And FYI antitheists like me watch videos like this so we're primed for answers to the religious fabrications on their semblance on truth!
To edsiebert5986 - I wonder how resolute you will be when lying on your death bed. Look around you man can't you see the miracles in nature and know that all this is not just happenchance.
@@henrytimpson8880 I know full well what I'll be doing on my deathbed and that is not being a weak-willed individual who cannot accept when life is through. I will be rueing the things that I haven't done, I have been to church, been there done that seen it for the manmade nonsense it is. I have a degree in biology and mathematics and I see the beauty in nature, in the fibonacci sequence, in the dying miasma of stars - these are wonderous but they are NOT supernatural. There is simply zero falsifiable evidence in support of the Abrahamic version of a god, it's quite frankly utterly absurd tbh.
Your intelligence just astounds me ..The evil one is a thousand times smarter then we are. He is the Lawyer from hell! He will be glad to take you there as soon as your through with your atheistic life. So go on, make fun of Catholics people who Love God you can go to Nefarious's Master's kingdom when your life is over with. Unless you decided to chose something different!!!
Pope St John XXIII said to prisoners "you couldn't see me, so I came to see you."
Catholic writer Hilaire Belloc, on coming out from Mass in a small Alpine village, noted in his diary: "their Mass is low and short; they are a Christian people"
1:26 thank you. Just confirmed what I’ve always known about myself. I’m a saint, after all.
All i can say this is great
"I was a Catholic until I reached the age of reason." George Carlin
I heard a comment attributed to Monsignor Ronald Knox: "Any old stick will do to beat the Catholic Church, and, if it breaks, well then you have two!"
Our old parish Priest when i lived in the west country, Fr. Frank was a missionary in Argentina for many years. I had occasion to go to a protestant church where some folk writhed about in ecstacy, and shake, eyes rolled in the back of the head and even some would talk in gibberish. It made me rather uncomfortable. So I asked Fr. Frank what to make of it. He Said he had encountered such things in Argentina, and always remembered what the Bishop of Beuonos Aires said, and with that he said a phrase in Spanish. Not being a person who speaks Spanish, I asked him what he had said, to which he replied, "God save us from these heathens!" 😂
Matthew 24 24!! The Lord says:" the sign between me and you is Ezekiel 20:12+20 and Exodus 31: 13
I read this the other day and laughed till it hurt. A Catholic is told Mary is not the mother of God. The Catholic response well then whose mother is she?😊
Mother Teresa begging food for a child. Good parallel is God sacrificing his son to save humans.
Squealing about Catholic’s being oppressed whilst simultaneously running things for the sole benefit of catholics…that’s a good one! Claiming to be devout Christian’s but killing and torturing other Christian’s who don’t do things the Catholic way…that’s a classic that one!
Can you expect to go to heaven for nothing? Did not our Savior track the whole way to it with His tears and blood? And yet you stop at every little pain. Elizabeth Ann Seton
What a poor selection
Hello @eamonbreathnach4613! Thanks for watching! We welcome any constructive criticism and offer you the chance to suggest your own. Feel free to respond. God Bless!
Napoleon Bonaparte is very underrated.
To this day outdoor masses in St Peters square have the altar on a rug Napolean gave the Vatican as an I am sorry present.
The "Mother Mary" in "Let it Be" is Paul's own mother, whom he lost at a young age.
The last time I had my throat blessed I came down with Asian flu.
What's brilliant about a collection of Nazi sympathising criminals like the catholic church? They helped many Nazi war criminals escape justice. What's brilliant about a catholic church that allowed and covered up child rape, has done since their filthy religion was invented. Where this god? Even this gods true believers get no help! They die in floods and earthquakes and fires and war and from droughts and hunger and disease . Where's this god? Not a lot of prayers being answered here! Babies born with diseases, what have they done? Where was this god when Hitler appeared, or Stalin or Mao or the Apartheid murderers. Why would this all caring god allow racism and slavery and its pain and suffering? Children included. Religion is poison, mindless incoherent worship something that doesn't exist. Only hope and faith. Neither is fact.
No such thing as brilliant catholic anything! Torture, anti science, the antithesis of logic, they aided the worst of the Nazi war criminals like Mengele to escape justice, stood by while gods representatives on earth, namely priests and clergy and bishops allowed and covered up child rape and abuse, the same church that invests in the armaments industry, the same church that is worth billions of dollars in real estate. A lying phony collection of criminals since day one. They make Stalin and Hitler look like kindergarten teachers. Mother Theresa! A cruel and nasty person. Accepting money from dictators like the DuVallier criminals in Haiti. Catholic perversion and sickening hipocracy.
"Your Holiness, how many people work here at the Vatican?" J23: "About half..."
I once walked into a flat with several presbyterians, a non-denom and an anglican to celebrate the non-denom's birthday. First thing that came to mind was "who wants to lead in the rosary?" The looks I got...
Though one of the Presbyterians later participated by saying "an anglican, some Presbyterians and a Catholic walk into a bar..."
@@matthew4712 we've got to applaud that Prebyterian.
I once heard a sermon that noted that there was a petition against St John Vianney becoming a priest because he wasn't sufficiently inteligent. On hearing this this,he said, in humility, he too would sign such a petition. Appatantly God had other plans for him.
I'll add this to my Christmas list!
Another quip attributed to Saint John the XXII: when asked how many people worked at the Vatican, he replied "About half".
Pope John XXII (not Saint John XXII, as he was not officially canonized) served as Pope from 1316 to 1334. He was known for various theological and administrative actions during his papacy, but there's no historical record of him making a statement about the number of people working at the Vatican as "about half." It's possible that the statement you mentioned is a humorous or apocryphal anecdote, but it does not appear to be a documented fact related to Pope John XXII's papacy. Papal statements and actions are usually well-documented in historical records and archives, but this particular statement doesn't seem to have a credible source in historical records.
MARY LOVE YOU R.I.P.
St Theresa of Avilla for the female saints, Saint Thomas Aquinas for the male saints (though Mother Theresa and Augustine would be close seconds.)
In the vein of "Saints Behaving Badly" and "Saints for Sinners", I would want to write a book entitled _"Saint in Progress: Pray for Me"_ and get Madonna to endorse it.
1:24 Solanus Casey sighting! Might be the famous "Ice Cream Cone Miracle" 🍦🍦
I would have thought the most famous quip was Jesus's play on Peter's name: thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my church. Catholicism must be funny as it was founded on a pun.
